Training Opportunities

Many of the technologies developed by RESBIO scientists are ready for other laboratories to learn about and adopt.  RESBIO researchers offer a short course, Cells on Polymeric Biomaterials, each year during the Fall.  Three general topic areas are covered, with a full day dedicated to each:

·     Polymer Synthesis, Substrate Fabrication and Material Characterization

·     Imaging of the Interactions of Cells on Biomaterials

·     Semi-Empirical Modeling of Bioresponse using Biomaterials StoreTM

Dates for the 2010 Cells on Polymeric Biomaterials short course are October 26th and 29th,  2010.

Additional laboratory sessions can be arranged in advance to provide you with greater mastery of the techniques.  For further information, contact Dr. P. Narayanan at pnarayan@biology.rutgers.edu.

RESBIO works closely with the Postdoctoral Training Program in Tissue Engineering and Biomaterials Science which offers advanced research training experiences with mentors from multiple disciplines.  See the Education hub of this website for further details. Several of the postdoctoral fellows and graduate students at the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials participate in RESBIO related projects, or use RESBIO resources for their own research.
