Polymer Design
Combinatorial libraries are designed to elucidate complex structure-property-performance relationships. Identification of these relationships may enable the rational design of new biomaterials. We expect that a combined combinatorial and computational approach will accelerate the rate of discovery and increase the structural diversity of new biomaterials. To learn more about this approach read about the RESBIO program here.
Parallel Polymer Synthesis Facility
The parallel polymer synthesis facility was established to facilitate a combinatorial approach to biomaterials design and discovery. An automated synthesizer prepares structurally-related biomaterial libraries and performs reaction optimization.
Kilogram Scale Synthesis Laboratory
The kilogram scale synthesis laboratory was established to facilitate the scale-up of polymeric biomaterials and the tyrosine-based monomers that are integral to our research.
