Cell Biology & Cell-Material Interactions

The New Jersey Center for Biomaterials (NJCBM) Cell Biology and Cell Culture Laboratory was established in September 1998 in the Wright-Rieman Laboratories at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ to provide cell biology laboratory resources dedicated to in vitro biomaterials research. In 2005, the laboratory was moved to an expanded space in the Center's new home, the adjacent Life Sciences Building.  The new laboratory operates a Class 10,000 clean room and is equipped to support research in cell biology, cell culture and manipulation, cell-material interactions, nucleic acid and protein analysis. The laboratory is also associated with a microbiology facility which supports culture and manipulation of bacteria and viruses.
